About this project
Fence & Boundary Checker UK is a small utility site built to turn common planning and boundary questions into simple decision tools.
What we are trying to do
Search results often flatten several UK planning systems into one generic answer. This site asks the extra questions that can materially change the result, shows the assumptions behind the answer, and links back to an official source.
What we do not do
We do not replace a local planning authority, HM Land Registry, Registers of Scotland, Land Registry Northern Ireland, a surveyor or a solicitor. The tools are designed as a starting point for straightforward cases.
How the site is built
The core tools run in the browser and do not require an account. The first release is intentionally lightweight and static.
